Shovel Your Sidewalk By Monday Or Get A $90 Bill, Courtesy Of The City Of Grand Rapids!

Well, the City Of Grand Rapids is done playing nice.  Yes, the blizzard was brutal on all of us.  Yes, it left us feeling exhausted. But enough whining.  The kids didn't go to school today because it was deemed "unsafe" for them.  No one wanted them taking their chances and walking in the street because they couldn't navigate the city sidewalks that are still a couple feet high with snow.  But come Monday, if your sidewalk is not shoveled, No Worries!  The city has hired extra workers to clean your sidewalk at a cost of $90 plus square footage (I couldn't find the $$$ rate for the additional square footage so it could be anything).  So "Just Do It!"  I did mine in a half hour when I got home from work.  I threw some salt on it and most has melted away.  We're expecting temps in the mid 20's for Saturday and 30's for the BIG game on Sunday.  Do it before then because you KNOW you're not going to want to do it after you're in your jammie pants and all pigged out.
