This Saturday, The Salvation Army will Rock the Block when it partners with Grand Rapids Bicycle Company to give away nearly 300 bicycle helmets and also celebrate the Fulton Heights Corps Community Center's annual block party.

Rock the Block, which is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Fulton Heights Corps Community Center, features thehelmet give-away, a drawing for two kids’ bicycles, a bicycle safety course and free bicycle safety inspections. Free refreshments along with a Bounce House, music and games and crafts round out festivities.

Fulton Heights Corps Community Center is located at 1235 Fulton Street East, at the corner of Fulton and Fuller streets SE, in Grand Rapids.

Bicycle techs from Grand Rapids Bicycle Company are providing bicycle safety checks and basic bicycle adjustments. In addition, instruction is available to learn more about bicycle safety and maintenance.

In addition, local professional mountain bike rider, Danielle Musto, will be running a bicycle skills and safety obstacle course.
