Rockford Group to Bike 300 Miles for Haitian Orphans
This coming Monday, June 23, 26 people will take off on a 6-day, 300-mile bicycle ride from Rockford, Michigan to Harrod, Ohio. It’s not just a ‘fun ride,’ it has a serious purpose. The riders are raising funds and awareness for H.I.S. Home for Children, an orphanage in Port Au Prince, Haiti. This is one of three groups that will converge in Harrod, Ohio on June 28.
Riders and families will join together on June 23 at 7:30 am for a prayer by local pastor along with a send off speech from event organizer, Geoff Van Berkel. At 7:45 am the group will take off from Cannon Township Offices in Rockford, MI continuing to their first destination of Lowell, MI.
