Multiple Brands Of Tortilla Chips Recalled
Eeek, just in time for Cinco de Mayo...
If you're planning on stuffing your face with tortilla chips tomorrow, you'll probably want to look into this, especially if you or someone you know has a milk allergy.
According to the FDA, Utz® Quality Foods, LLC is voluntarily recalling select Golden Flake, Good Health, Utz and Weis Brand Tortilla Chips because of a potential contamination of undeclared milk allergen.
Utz wrote in a statement,
"People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products."
Chips sold in Michigan are included in the recall.
Most of the chips have an expiration date of June 16, 2018. Get a full list of recalled products, their UPC codes, and expiration dates here.
Anyone who's purchased the recalled chips can return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund or exchange.
