Meet Louise, Our Wet Nose Wednesday Pet of the Week

Amy, from the Humane Society of West Michigan, joined me on the show today to introduce us to their featured pet of the week, Louise!

Long-stay Louise has been with us for way too long and we're not sure why a family hasn't adopted her yet, but we've also loved having her as our new roommate in our admin office! Here are a few things we've learned about her since she's moved in...

Louise LOVES food and will rush over to you and give you her saddest puppy eyes at the mere rustling of a wrapper to ask you to share. Squeakers don't stand a CHANCE against her, and meet their doom shortly after she discovers them. Louise also ADORES our staff, and when she's excited to see you she'll throw her paws up on you to give you a hug, and then melt into your lap.

4th of July Lost Pet Special

More pets are lost on the 4th of July than any other day of the year. Between guests coming and going, loud scary fireworks, and vacations away from home, do your part to make sure your pets are protected this holiday!

HSWM is offering a 4th of July lost pet prevention special now through Saturday, July 9th, where you can microchip your pet AND buy them an engraved ID tag for just $20! This service will be given on a walk-in basis during open hours through our Admitting Department, and will keep your pets home and safe where they belong.

Community Cup Latte

The signature Puppy Chow Community Cup latte at Outside Coffee Co is only available through the last few days of June, so if you've been waiting to try it, now is the time!

The flavors of the classic midwestern dessert--chocolate, peanut butter, and powdered sugar--are delicious hot or iced, and 100% of the proceeds from this limited edition drink go to support the animals in our care, so grab one for yourself before this Friday to treat yourself and our pets!

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who came to our Birthday Party on Sunday! We had a blast, the weather was beautiful, and it was wonderful meeting all of you!
