LaughFest wraps up this weekend here in Grand Rapids, and what a great ten-days it will have been.

These past ten days, I've been featuring some of the top, yet less-known, comedians appearing here.  One of the best, Maria Bamford, was in town last Saturday, and I hope you didn't miss her. You may recognize Maria Bamford from Target's Black Friday ad campaign or from her recurring role as "Debris" on Netflix's Arrested Development, but you don't really know Maria Bamford until you see live, on stage. Maria is best known for her portrayal of her dysfunctional family and self-deprecating comedy involving jokes about depression and anxiety. Her comedy style is surreal, and incorporates voice impressions of various character types.

One can only hope that Maria returns to Grand Rapids soon.
