A man named David Thompson was strolling across the ice on Burt Lake in Cheboygan County when he noticed something huge under his feet. So he got out his camera and followed the beast.

It turns out it was a sturgeon. A giant sturgeon, but a sturgeon none the less. Dumb people who don't live here thought it was a shark, but we all know sharks don't swim in fresh water (or do they? Cue the "Jaws" theme)

The largest sturgeon caught in Michigan weighed a whopping 193 pounds, and this looks like it's in that ball park. So why didn't David grab a spear and cut thought the ice to nab that baby? Live and let live, dude.
