Wow.  I didn't think there were any companies left that encouraged you to take vacation and totally unplug from your job.  Then today, I read about a Denver-based software company that does that and also PAYS for your trip.  How cool!

The company "Full Contact" was featured on Denver TV station Fox 31.   The owner came up with the idea of paying for employees to have vacation after seeing himself on the back of camel in Cairo, Egypt, in front of ancient pyramids - and on his smart phone.

People who work for him now get paid vacation - AND a $7500 bonus to pay for their vacation.  There are three catches, though ...

  1. You have to unplug.  No technology.  No smart phones, iPads, laptops, etc.
  2. You can't do ANY work.
  3. You have to use the $7500 to take a TRIP and get out of your normal routine.

LOVE.  THIS.  I wouldn't complain if my company would do that...

Oh yeah.  If you'd like a job with Full Contact (and who wouldn't?), just click here.
