Did you celebrate Back to the Future day this past Wednesday? You know, October 21, 2015. "Back to the Future" day sure ended in grand fashion on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show  Wednesday night.

Every parent in the universe can relate to this. It's the case of the missing cupcake.

Davenport University is hosting Openly Straight, featuring award-winning author Bill Konigsberg today, September 23 at the W.A. Lettinga Campus here in Grand Rapids from 12 noon to 1 p.m.

Hey parents, grandparents, this is for all of us. Getting our kids to answer their phones, or even call us from their phones, is a chore. In fact, so bad of a chore, they don't do it. Too busy! Can't be bothered! They'll get back to us!

Summer vacation is over and kids are back in school. One of the sad moments of the unofficial ending of summer, is the closing of swimming pools in parks, at clubs, etc. Oh, well, wait 'till next year. However, the city of Calgary, Alberta, decided their closing for the off-season should be special.

They say death and taxes are the only certainties in life. They may want to add "dad jokes" to that list.
