Brianna from the Humane Society of West Michigan wasn't able to come into the studio yesterday morning due to COVID-19, but we talked on the phone about Casper!

Much like the friendly ghost, this six-year-old boy can be a bit timid at first, but will warm up with a slow intro and gentle approach. Casper is a gentle soul who appreciates a calm, quiet setting. He feels most confident around other social cats, and would love to have a feline friend or two in his new home! He enjoys spending time in his cat tree, watching birds, and Cat TV. Casper loves the occasional ear and chin scratch, and once you earn his trust, he will begin to melt right into your hand for more!

HSWM Blood Drive, there’s still time to give!

Giving truly does warm the heart!  We know this community is full of so many people with giving spirits--so we'd like to invite you to join us at HSWM for our Blood Drive, and there’s still time left to participate!

Versiti is the ONLY blood bank that provides blood to every hospital in the Grand Rapids area and their supplies are running dangerously low, so please consider giving if you can! COVID has taken a toll on all of our local hospitals, so your donation can give hope and strength to patients in need now more than ever! The Versiti Blood Bus will be stationed in our parking lot this Saturday, February 20th, and will be accepting donations from 11am to 3pm.

Sign up through the link below to schedule your donor appointment, or visit our Facebook event page for further details. Walk-ins are also welcome!

PCC is only a month away!

We can hardly believe that Paws, Claws & Corks 2021, held on March 15th is only a month away! Have you bought your ticket yet?

Even though Paws, Claws & Corks is a virtual event this year to prioritize community safety, local guests will still receive several in-person engagement opportunities including dinner from one of our favorite local restaurants, a pawty pack filled with wine, snacks, goodies for your pet, and more! Not only that, but we’ll still be hosting our robust silent and live auctions, featuring favorite local restaurants and wineries, and celebrating the life-saving work of HSWM over the past year!

Please plan to get comfy and join us - virtually - for this extremely important event to support animals in need! To learn more and purchase your tickets, please visit our website at https://www.hswestmi.org/pcc.html

HWSM Spring Break Camp

It's strange to think about it with all of this snow on the ground, but spring is just around the corner!

We invite your kids to hop into spring and join us for our Spring Break Camp, April 4th - 8th for daily games, crafts, special guest speakers, and more. Plus, no camp at HSWM would be complete without lots of animal time!

The staff at HSWM will be working hard to ensure safety and social distancing. While indoors, all campers will be required to wear a mask. Registration is $40 per camper for one day or $130 for all four days. Aftercare is available until 5:15pm for an additional $10 per day.

Sign your kids up today at https://www.hswestmi.org/youth-camps.html

Please visit www.hswestmi.org to view profiles and learn more about adopting!
