We've all wondered why our mulligan shot is often better than our first. More than once I've been asked about my pre-shot routine. According to several teachers I have talked to, our mulligan swing should have been our real swing. That first one, the bad shot, should have been worked out before hand with a pre-shot routine and rehearsal swing. I am the first to admit, I usually just grab a club and blast away, routine / rehearsal be damned. What if we are rehearsing the wrong thing I ask. Doesn't matter, they say. Have a plan.
