Baseball Greats Tom Brookes and Steve Garvey at the Whitecaps Tonight

It's going to be a great night at Fifth Third ballpark tonight. The Tiger Friday series continues with a dual appearance by baseball superstars Tom Brookens and Steve Garvey.

Brookens, a 10-year member of the Tigers as a player, a former Tigers’ coach, and the manager of the Whitecaps’ 2007 MWL championship club, faced off against Garvey, a 10-time All-Star and the 1974 National League MVP, and his San Diego Padres, during the 1984 World Series. The Tigers defeated the Padres for their most recent World Series championship.

Friday’s game will also feature a t-shirt giveaway commemorating the 30-year anniversary of the 1984 World Series.
