I am thrilled to be at 100.5 The River! You can hear me every weekday, from 10:00am – 3:00pm. I have lived in West Michigan my entire life and am a graduate of both West Catholic High School and Grand Valley State University. I love all of the amazing people and festivals that West Michigan has to offer! I'm also a big fan of the Tigers, Lions, and University of Michigan football and basketball. Before joining 100.5 The River, I spent time working at radio stations in Kalamazoo, Big Rapids and Grand Rapids. I have been married for over 10 years. My wife and I have three children: a 8-year-old girl, a 7-year-old boy, and a 4-year-old boy. You'll hear them on air with me from time to time. When I’m not working, I spend much of my time racing/crashing Matchbox cars. I’m always talking about what’s going on in and around Grand Rapids, from ArtPrize to all of our other fun family events. Byron Center Ranks Third on List of ‘Best Cities for Young Families in Michigan’

Earlier this month, NerdWallet named the ten best cities for young families in Michigan.

The list considered: home affordability, prosperity and growth, quality of education, and family friendliness.

Byron Center ranked third. Hudsonville, Grandville and Rockford all made the top 20.

Today is Safe Delivery of Newborns Day in Michigan

Safe Delivery allows parents to surrender their newborn child no more than 72 hours old to an employee inside and on duty at any hospital, fire department, police station, or by calling 911.

Since 2001, the Safe Delivery of Newborns Law has helped save 155 infants from being abandoned in unsafe locations.
