A little heads up, there's a ton of stuff going on downtown this weekend. Plan ahead, be patient and pray for a parking spot.

St. Patrick's Day weekend is always a busy one downtown, but this year, it'll be especially crazy as Laughfest hits its peak, and the Ultimate Sports Show is in town.

Here's a list of just some of the events going on this weekend. Let's start with Friday:

The Griffins return home for the first time since February. Face off is at 7pm against the Chicago Wolves.

Next door at the DeVos Performance Hall, the GR Symphony hosts its St. Patrick's Day show featuring Catherine Ryan, former vocalist from 'Cherish The Ladies'.

Meanwhile, the BOB next door has four Laughfest National Showcase Comedy shows going on at Dr. Grin's, and in the banquet space across the hall on the third floor.

Speaking of Laughfest, Rory Scovel has two shows at the Pyramid Scheme on Commerce, while the Dirty Show is slated for midnight.

National headliner Iliza Schlesinger (oops, I'm sorry, it's just 'Iliza' now) will be performing down the street at the Fountain Street Church, show time is 8pm. You can shuttle over there from the BOB if you're worried about parking over by the church. But parking's gonna be tough all the way around.

The GR Art Museum is hosting the Disability Advocates Laughfest event featuring people with disabilities talking about how humor helps them. That kicks off at 7pm.

The Intersection has two shows on tap, Keller Williams is in the main room, while Four Year Strong is up front at the Stache.

Saturday, most of these places do it all over again, and while the Griffs are on the road, Irish on Ionia takes over Ionia Street with its daylong party, adding drunk pedestrians to the mix, not to mention street closures. All day Saturday, Ionia Ave. will be CLOSED from Fulton St. south to Oakes St., and Weston St. will be blocked west of Commerce Ave., starting before daylight. Music starts at 10 a.m.

I'm exhausted just listing all this stuff.

Have fun and be careful out there!
