Our congratulations to WZZM 13, who has been recognized again this year with a prestigious regional Edward R. Murrow award. This is the station’s ninth regional Murrow in the past five years. WZZM 13 is the only West Michigan television station to win a regional Murrow this year.

WZZM 13’s latest win comes in the Feature Reporting category for a story by journalist, Brent Ashcroft, and photojournalist, Andy Sugden. “Old Friends – New Friends: The Jimmy Lont Story is a heart wrenching story about drug abuse, death, redemption and forgiveness. This is Ashcroft’s fifth regional Murrow award in the past four years and Sugden’s 12th regional Murrow, with the last six at WZZM 13.
