Meet Besse Cooper.  She's 116 years old.  That makes her the world's oldest person.

And Guinness World Records says she's one only eight people in the world to live that long.

Word is, she decided to use numbers - as in "116" - on her cake, instead of trying to fit that many candles on it.

From the Guinness World Records site:

Born in Tennessee in 1896, Besse moved to Monroe, during World War One in search of work as a teacher.  She married her husband Luther in 1924, and they had four children. Today, she has 12 grandchildren and more than a dozen great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Her secret to living so long?  She says that she "minds her own business."  And she doesn't eat junk food.

Using her criteria, I'm out just based on the diet!  (I do mind my own business.  Mostly.)
