Western Michigan's Broncos stayed undefeated, rallying to take out Kent State 37-21 for a school record tenth victory.

Meanwhile, their energetic coach, P.J. Fleck is attracting national attention as the school tries to figure out how to keep him around.

Currently ranked 14th in the nation, the Broncos stumbled a bit last night, before turning it on in the fourth quarter to get the victory. They have two more games to win to finish the regular season undefeated, and possibly get a bid to the Cotton Bowl, which would up their prestige level ten-fold.

But as the school searches for ways to keep their sought after young coach, P.J. Fleck, on campus, his ability to turn the Broncos around in four years with his "ROW THE BOAT" philosophy, has not gotten lost on the rest of the college football world.

This week, P.J. has been featured in articles in the New York Times and the Washington Post, and earlier this season ESPN did the floowing profile on him.

Fleck, to his credit, is on the record as saying he would love to bring a National Championship to WMU, telling CBS Sports, "I don’t look at what I do or who I work with with my staff on a daily basis as Group of Five mid-level coaches. I don’t look at it like that. When we first got here, we said we were going to treat our program like a national-championship-type program. That’s how we’re going to run it. We’re not going to let the budget affect us."

And while when he originally said that a few years back, it brought guffaws, the reality now is if they ramp up the program, they could become the Gonzaga of college football.

And as the graduate of a MAC school (Central), I would love to see it, even if it is on the campus of our arch rival.

So ingrained is the "ROW THE BOAT" mantra at Western, listen as running back Jarvion Franklin uses it several times in this post game interview.
