West Michigan Whitecaps fan share Opening Day experience on Twitter

Opening Day at Fifth Third Ballpark was a perfect start to the season for fans.

Many fans took to Twitter to share the fun.

After the fire in January, the Whitecaps assured all that the season would start on time. It was never in doubt.

This time-lapse video of the stadium being reconstructed shows some of the hard work it took to get the ballpark ready for Opening Day.

Fans appreciated all of that hard work as 7,128 turned out to watch the Whitecaps earn a 3-2 win at their home opener.
