If you were out and about this past Friday night you may have seen some pretty weird lights in the sky above Grand Rapids. There sure was a lot of chatter about it.

The lights were blue, then white. Some even saw multi colors. Alien space visitors maybe coming to earth?

Reddit.com/Grand Rapids certainly had some interesting comments.

Is it the second coming, someone wrote?

Maybe it is the Goodyear blimp passing through.

What about the Weather Ball at TV13, some suggested.

Others thought they were actually watching an alien space craft since they saw somewhat the same thing weekend before last. That time it was only red lights and moving erratically. Oooooooo!

Some saw a helicopter circling the area and that spooked them even more.

It actually could be the Bat Signal some said.

Okay.....really?

Seriously though, there was nothing to worry about. It was very simple because it turned out it was the Meijer Gardens. They were testing some of their displays for the exciting Enlighten At Meijer Gardens beginning next week.

The Gardens said:

"This winter, ENLIGHTEN at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park offers a captivating blend of art, light, and nature. Running from November 27, 2024, to January 4, 2025, this immersive experience features a stunning 1-mile pathway illuminated by innovative light displays, enchanting music, interactive experiences, and world-renowned sculpture."

It certainly was an interesting conversation about those lights. Even some in my family were texting us asking if we knew anything because they were a bit spooked.

For me, I'm looking forward to "Enlighten at the Meijer Gardens." I know It will be spectacular!
