Vote for the Whitecaps Food You Want to See Make a Comeback
Even though the weather feels otherwise, spring is upon us because it's that time of year again for the Fan Food Vote where you get to decide what baseball fans will be eating this season at Fifth Third Ballpark. However, the Whitecaps are switching things up for the 10th year.
Instead of voting for a new menu item, you'll be bringing back one of the past winners. The 10 dishes were considered the best but now its down to the best of the best.
Last year, the Rocky Balburrito (a fried cheesesteak burrito) was the champion and its obvious West Michigan loves their meats because 9 out of the 10 dishes contain some type of meat or chicken. In 2011, fresh cut veggies with hummus was the fan favorite. I'm assuming that was before the hummus trend really took off.
The Declaration of Indigestion was the first contest winner. It's described as a
Half-pound foot-long hot dog covered in a Philly cheese steak (steak, cheese, peppers and onions) and served on a gigantic sub roll.
I have a feeling it might be a toss between that and the Mt. Wing Suvius from 2018 because you get a tower of onion rings with Mac and cheese and buffalo chicken all in one. But then again there's also a taco with bacon as the shell (Baco from 2013) so there's really no telling.
You can make your vote here. Contest runs until February 21.
