Two West Michigan Teens to Compete in The First Tee Golf Champions Tour in Florida
Two teens from right here in West Michigan are heading to Florida in February to take on 11 other chapters of The First Tee!
Owen Kruer, a sophomore from Jenison High School, and Dominic Luciani, a sophomore from East Grand Rapids High School will take on 22 other golfers from across the country in a three-day golf competition February 17-19. They'll be representing The First Tee of West Michigan.
This is Dominic's second year representing the chapter.
During the 2017 event, 24 participants will play a total of nine holes each of the three days of competition. On the first day, the teams will play in a scramble, followed by a modified alternate shot on Saturday, and a better fall format on Sunday.
The Chapter that earns the highest amount of points throughout all three formats will be named the 2017 Golf to Paradise - First Tee Champions Challenge Winners.
Good luck to Owen and Dominic!
