Halloween and trick or treat is for kids.

Traditionally, it's the littles and young kids, dressed up in their favorite costumes knocking on your door shouting "trick or treat," that warms my heart. I can't wait for them to come.

But, did you know that Halloween isn't just for kids anymore?

According to an article on Yahoo.com, "Adultoween" is a real thing and "seven in 10 parents say Halloween belongs to grown-ups too."

Does that mean that mom and dad, Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Fred and more, will be knocking on your door hoping for candy? Seriously?

After all, adults like candy, too, so who's to say grown-ups can't trick or treat as well as the kids.

For sure this might be totally weird when a dressed up adult knocks on your door this coming Halloween yelling "trick or treat." Seriously, would you open the door?

It's the Ferrero candy company that did this survey, and the results were surprising:

  • 71% believe Halloween belongs to grown-ups, too.
  • 54% believe they deserve their own adult Halloween night without childcare responsibilities.
  • 47% say Halloween is their favorite holiday.
  • 64% said they plan to buy candy this year – even if they don't expect trick-or-treaters.
  • 68% of parents said they celebrate Halloween for nostalgic reasons.
  • And 64% of parents also said there's absolutely, positively nothing wrong with grabbing some of their children's leftover candy.

So, what do you think. Will you be out there along with the kids?

I think the real question here is how many parents will steal their kid's candy?
