Sometimes things just happen that make you say "wow, that's kinda weird." Such was the case when my wife and I were in the 28th Street Cascade Meijer last week and started playing around with the Nerf products.

That night as I was looking for material to talk about on the radio, an interesting article popped up on Yahoo! about NERF products.

Since I'm sort of geeky that way, I wanted to share a few things I learned from this article on Yahoo Games.

  • Although "NERF" sounds like just a cool name, it's actually an acronym that stands for "Non-Expanding Recreational Foam."
  • It's inventor also created the game "Twister."
  • The "NERF" products started with a ball marketed for its safety during indoor play.
  • NERF guns have been used in various TV episodes and movies.
