There Is No Place Like Home

Thanks to Andy for doing both of our jobs Friday and Monday while I was attending a hockey coaching clinic in Detroit. Three days at the Compuware headquarters downtown. Nice place. They take visitors and security very seriously. You had better display your visitor's badge at all times and it had better be in plain sight. The hockey conference was excellent with topics like puck possession in the offensive zone. Defense as an offensive weapon, etc. Might sound dull to you, but I loved it. As far as returning to the city of my birth, Detroit is a nice place to visit but I am very happy to be back in Grand Rapids. Went to the Hard Rock and Hockeytown Cafes. Lost a dollar at MGM casino. Detroit has BY FAR the deepest and most numerous roadside potholes. I overshot my freeway exit and turned around at Tireman and the Lodge. The picture doesn't do the depth of the pothole justice. There were dozens in that intersection alone. I mean a foot deep. Anyway, there is no place like home....either one.
