The President Quits Smoking

The First Lady says the President has finally quit smoking. First Lady Michelle Obama said she proud of her husband, and he has not had a cigarette for about a year.

"I knew it was a personal challenge for him". The First Lady said, " When somebody's doing the right thing, I don't mess with them," she joked during an interview on the Today Show.

"From all of the women in my husband's life, we want him to be healthy. He's worked hard at it," Mrs. Obama said

TheFirst believes her husband finally quit because he wanted to be able look his daughters in the eye and say "he didn't smoke."   The White House offered no details Tuesday, in keeping with its practice of trying to keep Obama's habit out of the spotlight.
