Hollywood is officially out of ideas.

The Brady Bunch is coming back to TV.

The reboot of The Brady Bunch is being executive produced by Vince Vaughn for CBS.  It will follow a divorced Bobby Brady who remarries and ends up with a Brady bunch of his own.

It seems that eventually every show will be remade, so why not help network executives choose the next one?

You don't have to look far to find TV or movie sequels or reboots...Batman, Spiderman, Hawaii Five-O, etc.

Screencrush.com reports on the new Brady Bunch:

CBS has begun development on a ‘Brady Bunch’ reboot to be co-developed, and executive produced by film funnyman Vince Vaughn, and written by Mike Mariano (‘Raising Hope,’ ‘My Name Is Earl’).  The multi-camera revival will be helmed by CBS TV studios, which to date has brought about revivals of ‘Hawaii Five-0,’ ‘90210,’ and The CW’s upcoming ‘Beauty and the Beast.’

Far from your typical reboot however, the updated ‘The Brady Bunch’ will follow a divorced Bobby Brady, with children of his own, who remarries a women with kids and fathers another child with her as well.  Unlike the original series, in which Carol Brady (Florence Henderson)’s previous husband went unaddressed, it’s said that Bobby Brady and his new wife’s respective ex-spouses will play a larger role in the series.

I can think of a few old shows that were cancelled before their time.  Twin Peaks comes to mind.

David Lynch created Twin Peaks, which brought us two seasons of Laura Palmer, The Log Lady, cherry pie, and a whole lot of unexplained surreal moments...like any typical David Lynch project.

My pick for a TV reboot is Twin Peaks, even though I know it to be an impossible task to recreate the magic of the original that aired in 1990-1991.
