What was scheduled to be a multi-day sale of old hotel furnishings turned out to last just a few hours.

Soaring Eagle Casino in Mount Pleasant is updating its hotel rooms, and was set to place on sale all of the old furnishings, from televisions to mattresses to wall art, but it turns out, the sale was so successful it ended quickly.

The Casino opened the sale up to employees and tribal members on Monday  morning and by 2:30pm Monday afternoon, most of it was gone.

Most of the items were marked at five dollars, so even with a limit of four per person for most of the items, the items went quickly and steadily on Monday.

The items were being sold to issue in a redesign and update of the guest rooms at the Casino. Interim Public Relations Director Erik Rodriguez told MLIve.com that the Casino will have a 'warmer and more welcoming feel'.
