If you're hosting Thanksgiving dinner, but you're a little nervous about the amount of food you've purchased, never fear. The wonderful writers over at Skillet have created an online calculator to approximate how much food you'll need to make.

While the calculator is a pretty accurate estimate (and it's mostly based on Food Network's portion planning article), double check the results with your Thanksgiving guests. Certain members of my family could probably eat half their weight in mashed potatoes, so although the rest of my results seem pretty accurate, I'll most likely make extra potatoes for them. Overall, it's definitely a helpful little tool to make sure your Thanksgiving dinner is plentiful.
