Habitat for Humanity

SiTE:LAB is an all-volunteer organization which creates temporary site-specific art. Its venues at ArtPrize have been award-winning. Now, SiTE:LAB is set to begin a two-year project with the City of Grand Rapids and Habitat for Humanity of Kent County called the Rumsey Street Project.

GRPS, Grand Rapids Public Schools, have another program to celebrate. Today, students from the Academy of Design and Construction (ADC) will celebrate the completion of the Habitat for Humanity home they built during the 2013-2014school year.

In the years I've known Jim Dreyer, I have come to know that he NEVER does things half-way, it's always full-steam ahead. So, it was no surprise when I found out that he'll go it alone when swimming 22 miles across Lake St. Clair while hauling dinghies filled with 2,000 pounds of bricks.
