Wolverine will pay $69.5 million to bring municipal water to more than 1,000 properties.

Low amounts of the chemical may increase the risk of developing certain cancers including blood cancers such as non-Hodgkin lymphoma, myeloma, and lymphocytic leukemia and breast cancer.

The monitoring will cover the entire Macatawa Watershed which includes approximately 110,000 acres in Ottawa and Allegan counties.
