Fun times in Lowell next week, because the annual Kent County Youth Fair will be at the Lowell Fairgrounds beginning Sunday, August 4 through Saturday, August 10.

Summer time is fair time.  And, this week, the 54th Ottawa County Fair is underway at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds.  You'll find demolition derby races and street performers entertaining visitors throughout the fairgrounds.

2011 was a tough year for the venerable Ionia Free Fair.  They had to close down early last year due to rain and flooding conditions, and some folks were wondering if there would even be a fair this year. Of course there is a fair.  What would July be without the Ionia Free Fair.
