Walkowiak comes from Ohio and will take over for Bishop Walter Hurley.  Bishop Hurley has reached the mandatory retirement age of 75. The Diocese of Grand Rapids has announced details about the upcoming ordination of Bishop-elect Walkowiak.

There will soon be a new leader for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Grand Rapids. The Diocese of Grand Rapids will introduce their next bishop at Cathedral Square tomorrow morning at 10:00am.
