Runners and walkers have a great incentive to get out and get active Saturday, May 20. It's the annual Nana's Run, a 5k run/walk for the fight against ALS, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s disease).
There were so many videos on my Facebook news feed about the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge that I knew it would come to me at some point!
Wendy Reed, who works on Channel 95.7 on weekdays and also handles behind-the-scenes stuff for 100.5 The River, nominated me.
Some water, some ice, and a few wet clothes have proven to be an effective way to raise money to fight Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
I was happy to take my turn today and accept the Ice Bucket Challenge.
100.5 The River's Tom Cook took on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on Thursday after being challenged by Wendy Reed, from sister station Channel 95.7.
