Sheriff deputies in Battle Creek, Michigan, are on the hunt for two drivers who hit and killed man then left the scene.

According to WOOD, the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office said the hit and run's took place Wednesday morning in the 4300 block of West Dickman Road near Army Street/Tony Tiger Trail.

Apparently a man was on his daily walk from his apartment to an area store and was hit on West Dickman road while trying to cross the street. Authorities say than man was hit so hard he flew into the other lane where he was ran over by another vehicle.

Sheriff Matt Saxton said, both drivers left the man to die at the scene. The sheriff's office was contacted at 7:30 a.m. when someone called in to say there was a body lying in the street.

The only info on the man who died that has been released is that he is 59 years of age and from Battle Creek. No other information has been announced until the family gets notified.

Investigators are hoping some of the surveillance video from area business's capture something that will put the sheriff in a situation where they can identify the vehicles that fled the scene.
