‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ Season 2 Sets March Premiere in First Teaser
Your happy new year has just taken an Unfortunate turn. Netflix and Count Olaf have a new message for you, as Season 2 of A Series of Unfortunate Events has officially booked a late March premiere with some miserable new footage.
Netflix used the New Year’s lull to confirm that A Series of Unfortunate Events Season 2 will officially hit on Friday, March 30. The video sees Neil Patrick Harris’ Count Olaf mocking our collective hangovers, before treating us to first footage of adapted chapters from fifth novel (The Austere Academy) through the ninth (The Carnivorous Carnival).
Elsewhere of Season 2, we know Harris’ former Dr. Horrible nemesis Nathan Fillion will join the cast as Jacques Snicket, alongside Veep and Arrested Development favorite Tony Hale as Jerome Squalor, Sara Rue as a librarian, Lucy Punch as Esmé Squalor and Roger Bart as Principal Nero. The second season will consist of ten episodes, while the series is likely to end with its third season.
Season 1 of Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events is available to binge on Netflix in the meantime.
