Do you fix separate meals for your kids?

We got started on this at the dinner table the other night.  One of our daughters and husband were over with their kids and there was a rather loud disagreement regarding what kid was eating what.  I won't go into the "grizzly" details, but it was a spirited conversation.

Granted, the age of the kids has a lot to do with it, but we always felt in our house, taking the kids tastes and concerns into consideration, the meal is THE meal.  They can't eat Mac 'n Cheese every time.  And, they need to experience new things.  If they chose not to eat the dinner,  they don't eat.

Okay, we weren't always good about following through.....but.....we thought it.
