Saturday is Best Day Ever for West Michigan ‘Harry Potter’ Fans

Saturday is the best day of the year for Harry Potter fans in West Michigan!
Harry Potter in the Park Festival is in Sparta on Saturday, August 26 from 3:30pm - 9pm at Rogers Park.
Events include:
- Quidditch training with the Grand Valley State University Grindylows.
- Blandford Nature Center owl presentation.
- Petting zoo with live snakes.
- Costume parade.
- Magic show.
- Gnome tossing.
- House sorting.
- Arthur Weasley rubber duck race.
- And many other things that only a Harry Potter fan would understand.
Tickets cost $12.50 for one person, $22 for two people, $45 for four people, plus card processing fees.
Tickets will also be available at the gate. $15 for one person, $50 for four people. Cash only. 6 and under are free.
But Sparta isn't the only place to get your Harry Potter fix on Saturday.
Head down the road to Fifth Third Ballpark and enjoy Harry Potter night at the Whitecaps game. The Whitecaps will be wearing Harry Potter jerseys during the game which will be filled with Harry Potter characters and activities. Get tickets here.
Another opportunity for Harry Potter fans is coming up in September when the Grand Rapids Symphony performs at a showing of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
The movie will be played on the big screen at DeVos Hall on September 29 and September 30 while the symphony plays the score. A third show has just been added at 7:30pm on Saturday, September 30.
