Robinette’s Corn Maze to Open September 1st

It's time to go get lost in some corn!

In just as week, August will be over and we will flip the calendar over to September. That means it will be time for fall activities to start up...including area corn mazes.

Robinette's Apple Haus and Winery will be opening their corn maze on Tuesday, September 1st. This year's maze design will honor Jim and Bethel Robinette.

Who are Jim and Bethel Robinette? Robinette's website gives us this insight into just who they were: "Jim and Bethel Robinette played key roles in the success and growth of what is now known as Robinette’s Apple Haus & Winery.  This year, Jim and Bethel passed away into their heavenly life, a month apart.  Robinette’s is dedicating the maze design this year to honor and recognize Jim and Bethel’s hard work and dedication to making Robinette’s what it is today – an agritainment destination for the community to enjoy."

Jim and Bethel were married for 58 years and were the 3^rd generation to farm at Robinette’s.  The 4^th, 5^th and now 6^th generations are participating in the operation.

To honor the couple, this year’s corn maze design includes the 1929 Model A with a big apple in the truck bed.  You have probably seen the Robinette's Model A in many parades over the years.

Tickets for the corn maze may be purchased at the farm at 3142 4 Mile Rd, NE, Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The 6.5 acre corn maze is available through the end of October. If the weather cooperates, the corn maze can sometimes extend it into early November. Tickets are $8/person. Children from 0-2 are free. Groups of 15 or more with one person paying are $7 each.
