Rockford-area restaurants are mounting an answer to the culinary zeal bubbling up in Grand Rapids by having their own Rockford Restaurant Week. This six-day, eight-restaurant series will showcase the dazzling variety of the Rockford dining scene while supporting those struggling with hunger in the community.

From March 18 thru the 23rd, each restaurant will offer a multi-course meal or two complete entrees for $25, and one dollar from every order will be donated to Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank.
Restaurants range from the Appenine flair of Amore Trattoria Italiana to the North Country appeal of Timbers Inn, and the specials they’re offering vary just as widely.
Reds on the River is giving diners a suite of intensely spiced dishes, including a Jerked Chicken and Sweet Potato Soup and a Sour Orange Mojo Roasted Pork, while Bostwick Lake Inn is presenting nine different pairing options for vegetarian and omnivorous palates.

The beneficiary of Rockford Restaurant Week, Feeding America West Michigan,  reclaims surplus food from farmers and manufacturers and channels it to people in need through a network of more than 1,250 food pantries, soup kitchens and homeless shelters. The Food Bank’s network extends from the Indiana border through the Upper Peninsula.
Each dollar Feeding America West Michigan receives funds the distribution of four meals. With enthusiastic public support, the impact of Rockford Restaurant Week could be enormous.
Rockford Restaurant Week, March 18 - 23, is part of Feeding America West Michigan's Million Meal March, a campaign to distribute an additional million meals to families in need. For more ways to join the march, visit millionmealmarch.org.
