Pole Vaulters In Downtown Grand Rapids
It's a bird. It's a plane. It's pole vaulters in downtown Grand Rapids!
Road construction and rush hour traffic can lead to stressful driving through Grand Rapids, but a few people have discovered a unique way to avoid gridlock downtown...pole vaulting.
On Wednesday, July 10, pole vaulters are hitting the streets of downtown Grand Rapids for the GR Street Vault.
GR Street Vault is run by the same people who bring us the Grand Haven Beach Vault.
The GR Street Vault will take place on Ottawa Avenue next to Van Andel Arena.
Vaulting will begin at 2:00pm for an open girls division, followed by an open boys division.
Some of the best vaulters in the country will show off their skills at 6:00pm.
