Plan For Grand Rapids Parking Problems Thursday

If you are coming downtown Thursday for the “Get Motivated” seminar on Thursday, start planning your parking plan today.  While Andy and I never have parking issues when we arrive each morning for our radio show, many others do.  Thousands of downtown workers and college students battle for parking spaces by the hour.  If you add another 15,000 people and their cars, parking is going to be nuts.  Grand Rapids Parking Services tell us you can take a free shuttle to Van Andel from either the DeltaPlex or Fifth Third Park.  Parking there is free and the shuttles begin at 6am.  The seminar begins at 8am.  You could also try parking at the city’s DASH Area 9 lot near the YMCAparking_Downtown City parking_7_30_10.  It’s a short wallk from there.  The rare daytime event at the VanAndel Arena will feature General Colin Powell, former New York Mayor Rudy Guiliani, NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw and former Notre Dame football coach Lou Holtz.
