This has never happened in Grand Rapids before, NEVER!
This spring and summer we will be overrun with pickles! WOW, pickles galore!
WHAT'S UP WITH PICKLES?
We have heard of the Pickle Palooza coming in May to the LMCU Ballpark, and now, Food Hugs has announced that they are creating their own Pickle Fest, which has been in the works for quite some time.
Food Hugs, from Chef Jenna of Amore Italian Restaurant, says watch out for some serious pickle fun at the restaurant, 5080 Alpine Ave, NW in Comstock Park.

They will have food trucks, entertainment, games, drink specials and a whole lot more. And, knowing Chef Jenna, I just know she will have her own brand of pickle fun, too.
WHAT IS FOOD HUGS?
Food Hugs, is a "non profit Chef Jenna began with a belief that a feel good, taste good movement that funds random acts of kindness, is the right thing to do!"
With over 2,300 Food Hugs given, delivering free food to folks in need and businesses doing good who need a pick-me-up, and more that $123,000 donated, they are on a roll with no stopping in sight.
For years, there has been a love for pickles. It's crazy, but festival have sprung up all over the country including Michigan.
Between the long-running Pickle Festival in Berrien Springs every July and the Pickle Fest at Ed Dunneback and Girls Fruit Farm in Grand Rapids in August, Michigan, and West Michigan specifically, has built a reputation for serious pickle pride.
So pucker up and get ready for some summer Pickle Fest fun.
