Are you one of the ones who are Nuts for Grape-Nuts and couldn't get any? You weren't along as millions of fans were up in arms and depressed that they couldn't find any grape nuts in stores. Worry no more!

Breakfast got some great news today. The Grape-Nuts shortage is officially over!

If you're not a fan, then you're wondering what Grape Nuts shortage? You never noticed, did you. Well, a lot of us did and couldn't figure it out. The question going around was "what's wrong with our store?"

Post Consumer Brands, which makes the 124-year-old breakfast cereal, had experienced a production shortage as a result of the pandemic and other production issues. The shortage led to empty spaces on store shelves, or in some cases, higher prices.

In USA Today, a spokesperson for Post says, "It became abundantly clear during the shortage that Grape-Nuts fans are ‘Nuts for Grape-Nuts.' So much so that some of our loyal super fans were willing to pay extreme prices just to ensure they wouldn’t be without their favorite crunchy cereal." There was a report that one person paid $110 for a four-pound box in January.

Prices were jacked up in many places to take advantage of the shortage, so Post says consumers who paid $10 or more for a box between November, 2020 and March 15th can get a partial refund with a valid receipt. Submit receipts at www.postconsumerbrands.com/promotions/grape-nuts-shortage-reimbursement through April 15.

Post says consumers should now start seeing a full stock of Grape Nuts and Grape Nuts Flakes on shelves.

And, by-the-way, Grape-Nuts doesn't contain either grapes or nuts. It's barley and wheat! Thought you should know!
