Only One More Night Of Legal Fireworks To Enjoy Or Endure
It's the day after The 4th of July and that means you only have until midnight tonight, Wednesday, July 5th, to shoot off your fireworks. So whether you enjoy them, or just endure them, we have one more night of loud noises and light.
Michigan law allows for "Legal Consumer Fireworks" to be used the day before, day of, and day after a National Holiday. These fireworks are the ones that either explode, fly, or both.
"Legal Low Impact Fireworks" (like fountains or smoke bombs) and "Novelties" (sparklers, poppers, etc.) are still legal year round in Michigan. Clickon Detroit, posted a helpful graphic that gives examples of each type of firework you can check out below.
The fine for breaking the laws associated with fireworks and getting caught is $500.
