A brand new seafood restaurant is now open in Saugatuck and it is serving up seafood in the traditional "fish camp" style of Florida and the Southeast.

Saugatuck Fish Camp Bar and Food is located right at 149 Griffith Street in Saugatuck, right on Kalamazoo Lake.  Head Chef Chris Perky is bringing traditional "fish camp" style food to West Michigan.  The "fish camp" style is best known in Florida and is typically fresh seafood from a riverside or lakeside shack.

Head Chef, Chris Perky had this to say "Saugatuck Fish Camp is the lakeshores newest casual restaurant serving old school fish camp foods. Inspired by fish camps throughout Florida and across the southeast, we have something for everyone! From fresh grouper and oysters to peel and eat shrimp, our diverse menu will make it hard to choose! Prefer something from the smoker? Then you’ll want to check out our ribs, briskets or pulled pork shoulder! Grab the family or some friends and join us on our outdoor patio for a delicious specialty cocktail and live entertainment. It’s summertime in Saugatuck which means fun in the sun at our new tiki bar. Come enjoy the new Key West of the Midwest!"

Check out a couple of photos from their outdoor patio area.
