New Anchor Joining WZZM TV 13 in December

Our news partner, WZZM 13, the Gannett owned ABC affiliate, announced the return of former WZZM 13 Producer/Reporter Meredith TerHaar as the new Weekend Morning News Anchor and Multimedia Journalist.

TerHaar is a West Michigan native and graduate of Hope College.

She began her journalism career right at WZZM 13 as an intern in 2003. She was quickly hired as an Associate Producer, and then promoted to Noon Show Producer. She left in 2009 for a smaller market to hone her skills as a Multimedia Journalist and Anchor at WJHG in Panama City, Florida, where she recently added Assistant News Director to her resume.

“Meredith brings a wealth of knowledge and passion about West Michigan,” said WZZM 13 President & General Manager, Janet Mason. “At the same time, her enthusiasm for work, family, and life is a breath of fresh air. We are thrilled to welcome Meredith back home.”

TerHaar is replacing long time Weekend Morning News Anchor, Jennifer Pascua, who has moved to the new weekday 5pm News. TerHaar starts at WZZM 13 on December 15th.
