Where Is The Most Miserable City In Michigan to Live?
The United States is a pretty awesome country to live. In many aspects we are blessed. We all are aware that all things are not kosher, and there are a lot of problems to solve.
We only have about 4% of the world's population, but we account for over 25% of the worlds economy according to a article on 24/7 Wall St.com. We are the wealthiest country in the world.

Sadly, not everyone is the beneficiary of a good economy because nearly 13% of Americans live below the poverty line.
We still have crime to deal with, lack of access to quality medial care for many, and our homeless rate is way to high for such a rich country.
Every state has their successes and failures. Every state has it's troubles and miserable places to live as well.
Looking around the Great Lakes states, There are some surprisingly miserable cities to live according to a formula of 24/7 Wall St.
For example, in Indiana I would have thought Gary would rank tops, but another city beat them out as more miserable, Lake Station.
They are very close to Gary in Northwest Indiana. With a poverty rate of over 18%, low property values, a 'death-by-drugs" problem, and low incomes, Lake Station is pretty miserable.
East Liverpool in Ohio won the miserable prize there.
They are south of Youngstown, and have a poverty rate of 29%, along with low property values, very low incomes and a huge drug problem.
Two Rivers rates tops on the miserable scale for Wisconsin.
They are on Lake Michigan, just north of Manitowoc. Their poverty rate is above 9%, and they too have low property values, low household incomes and a drug problem. That's miserable.
So, how do we, Michigan, stack up. We're right up there with a miserable place to live.
Beecher is the winner here.
In Genesee county, Beecher has a whopping 32% poverty rate, low property values and very low household incomes. Couple that with a huge death by drugs problem, and it's miserable in Beecher!
