More Grand Rapids Natural Disaster?

Is it me or has there been more natural disasters this year than any other in recent memory. I mean, terrible floods, tornados....hurricanes. Sure seems like it to me. I was reading that this may be the time of Mother Nature, as the 20th century was the time of man-made issues -- war, etc. What do you think
