Michigan State and Michigan Back-to-Back Basketball Buzzer Beaters
If you're a college basketball fan I'm sure you are well aware of the unbelievable, more than half court shot by Michigan State's Tre Holloman to beat Maryland 58 to 55.
And, not to be outdone, a couple of nights later, Nimari Burnett of Michigan got a three point buzzer beater to beat Rutgers 84 to 82.
👇BELOW: THE BIGGEST UNDERDOG WINS IN MARCH MADDNES!👇
Let's relive those exciting moments!
For Michigan State, It had been a tight game all they way. Not shooting well the entire game, Michigan State gave up a serious lead at the end only to have Maryland tie the game, get the ball back after a Michigan State miss, and try to win the game.
Here is what happened!
For Michigan it was just as exciting a win.
Although not a more than half court shot, it was well beyond the 3-point line. Michigan was trailing by one point with barely any time left and Nimari Burnett took the shot.
Here's what happened!
Pressure packed, heart stopping action for sure. Replays of these shots will be played over and over again.
But, those aren't the only spectacular game winning shots "heard round the world" in men's college basketball.
Remember Keith Smart of Indiana. The game was for the 1987 National Championship against Syracuse. Smart got the ball, sank a left-side jumper and Indiana and Bobby Knight won the championship.
But maybe the one most basketball fans will remember is THE GAME, Duke and Kentucky, in 1992. With 2.1 seconds on the clock, Duke has to go full court to get a shot. Grant Hill makes a spectacular more than half-court pass to Christian Laettner and then, this happened!
Michigan State and Michigan meet in their final games of the season on March 9th. Who knows.....another buzzer beater?
