Dana Nessel, Michigan's Attorney General, Tweeted the news on Monday, calling the move a "publicity stunt."

California's AG filed the lawsuit and stated

Today, on Presidents Day, we take President Trump to court to block his misuse of presidential power. We’re suing President Trump to stop him from unilaterally robbing taxpayer funds lawfully set aside by Congress for the people of our states.

The President declared a national emergency on Friday in order to secure an additional $6.7 billion so he can get to building the wall faster. According to ABC News, this allows Trump to use money from other budgets.
